Joint Statement from Trans Aero MedEvac and Generation Jets

Following coordination with investigative authorities and family notifications, Trans Aero MedEvac and Generation Jets are jointly sharing additional confirmed details regarding the aircraft and crew involved in the tragic aviation accident in the Capitan Mountains region of New Mexico during the early morning hours of May 14, 2026.

The fixed-wing aircraft involved in the accident was operated by Generation Jets, a longtime fixed-wing aviation partner of Trans Aero MedEvac in Southeast, New Mexico. The aircraft was traveling from Roswell to Sierra Blanca Regional Airport for a medical transport mission when the accident occurred.

Today, both organizations continue to mourn the loss of four extraordinary crew members. Those we lost were more than coworkers. They were family, caregivers, aviators, teammates, and friends who dedicated their lives to serving others with compassion, professionalism, and courage.

The crew members lost in this tragedy were:
– Keelan Clark, Generation Jets Pilot
– Ali Kawsara, Generation Jets Pilot
– Sarah Clark, Trans Aero MedEvac Flight Nurse
– Jamie Novick, Trans Aero MedEvac Flight Nurse

“Our hearts remain with the families and loved ones navigating an unimaginable loss,” said Matt Goertz, Vice President of Trans Aero MedEvac. “Sarah and Jamie embodied what it means to care for others. Their commitment to their patients and their teammates will never be forgotten, and their impact will continue to live on within our organization and the communities they served.” “This tragedy has deeply affected every member of the Generation Jets family,” said Monty Renfro, President and CEO of Generation Jets. “Keelan and Ali’s professionalism and dedication will never be forgotten.”

Both organizations continue to cooperate fully with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and local authorities as the investigation remains ongoing.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the first responders, fire crews, search and rescue teams, law enforcement agencies, and all personnel who responded to the scene and continue working the ongoing fire under extremely difficult conditions. We also thank the Ruidoso Office of Emergency Management, Lincoln County agencies, U.S. Forest Service personnel, and all partner agencies supporting the ongoing response efforts.

Above all, we ask for continued prayers, compassion, and privacy for the families, coworkers, and everyone impacted by this heartbreaking tragedy.

“Please contact NTSB media relations for further information regarding the investigation into this accident.”

Statement from Trans Aero MedEvac Regarding Fixed-Wing Aircraft Accident

It is with profound sorrow that Trans Aero MedEvac confirms the loss of four members of
our team following the crash of our fixed-wing aircraft during the early morning hours of
May 14, 2026.

Our hearts are with the families, loved ones, friends, and coworkers of those lost in this
tragedy. We ask everyone to continue keeping the families of our crew members, as well
as the first responders and personnel actively working this crisis, in your thoughts and
prayers.

The aircraft, a King Air operating from our Roswell, New Mexico base to Sierra Blanca
Regional Airport for a medical transport mission, was reported overdue after
communications and radar contact were lost. Emergency response protocols were
immediately initiated, and the aircraft was later located in the Capitan Mountains region
near Ruidoso, New Mexico.

The crash site remains an active emergency response and investigation scene. Fire
suppression efforts associated with the incident are ongoing, and multiple agencies
continue working under difficult terrain and conditions. We are deeply grateful to the first
responders, fire personnel, law enforcement agencies, search and rescue teams, and all
partner agencies assisting in this response.

Out of respect for the families, we will not release the identities of those involved until all
notifications have been completed and verified.

Trans Aero MedEvac is fully cooperating with the National Transportation Safety Board
(NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), New Mexico State Police, and local
authorities as they investigate the accident. At this time, the cause of the crash remains
unknown.

Safety has always been at the core of our mission and operations. Our focus right now
remains on caring for our people, supporting the investigation, and honoring the lives of
those we lost.

Additional updates will be shared through official Trans Aero MedEvac communication
channels as confirmed information becomes available.

This initiative ensures families in the county have access to high-quality air medical transport without the burden of out-of-pocket expenses.

As a trusted air medical provider serving both Chaves and Eddy Counties, Trans Aero Medevac operates helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft to transport patients between medical facilities and directly from emergency scenes. The organization is committed to delivering an unmatched level of care across the region.

Through this program, Chaves County residents and their families will receive full coverage for air medical transport when flown by Trans Aero Medevac. Members will have zero out-of-pocket costs and can feel confident knowing they are receiving top-tier care during critical moments.

Residents are encouraged to be proactive in their care. When air medical transport is needed, patients and their families have the right to request Trans Aero Medevac. Ensuring that medical providers and facilities are aware of this membership is key to receiving the benefit.

To support awareness and accessibility, Trans Aero Medevac is working closely with local hospitals, community leaders, fire departments, and law enforcement agencies throughout Chaves County. This collaboration helps ensure that first responders and medical professionals recognize and honor the membership program.

Membership materials provided to residents include identification stickers for insurance cards and vehicles. These stickers display the appropriate dispatch information and help emergency personnel quickly identify membership status during a response.

It is important to note that this membership applies only to transports performed by Trans Aero Medevac. Coverage cannot be extended if another air medical provider completes the transport. Residents should inform medical personnel of their membership prior to transport whenever possible.

This membership extends to all immediate family members and is valid across all Trans Aero Medevac service areas, providing peace of mind both at home and while traveling within the network.
